死去から1年を経て、ヘヴィメタル界のレジェンドである故オジー・オズボーンの波乱に満ちた人生が、今年の米ユニバーサル・スタジオ恒例イベント【ハロウィーン・ホラー・ナイト】で新設されるお化け屋敷＜オジー・オズボーン：プリンス・オブ・ダークネス＞のテーマとなる。

　アトラクションの発表を伝えるリリースには、「オジー・オズボーンの衝撃的なイメージは、彼のヘヴィメタルのヒット曲と同じくらい人々の脳裏に焼き付いて離れない。今、あなたはプリンス・オブ・ダークネスの王国へと足を踏み入れる。そこでは音楽と混沌が交差し、すべてが常軌を逸している。ロックンロール史上最も偉大なレジェンドの一人にインスパイアされたこのお化け屋敷で、オジーの歌詞そのままの朽ち果てた世界を突き進んでいく。狂気の始まりだ！」と記されている。

　新アトラクションは、今年の【ハロウィーン・ホラー・ナイト】に登場する数々のお化け屋敷群に加わることになる。その中には『Evil Dead Burn』（『死霊のはらわた』シリーズ最新作）、『ヘル・レイザー』、『ストレンジャー・シングス 未知の世界』シーズン5、『罪人たち』をテーマにしたもの、さらに＜ジャック・アンド・オッドフェロー：カオス・アンド・コントロール＞、＜サイバーゴリア＞、＜インベイジョン・エイリアン：アブダクション＞、＜マッドランズ：ケージド・キャニバルズ＞、＜H.R.ブラッデンガッツ・プレゼンツ：ア・ハロウィーン・フライト＝タキュラー＞などのパーク・オリジナル作も含まれる。

　米エンタテインメント・ウィークリーの取材に対し、オジーの妻であり長年マネージャーを務めてきたシャロン・オズボーンは、【ハロウィーン・ホラー・ナイト】35周年記念の一環となる今回の体験が、イングランド・バーミンガムでの労働者階級としての幼少期から、ブラック・サバスのフロントマンとしての活躍までを描くと明かした。「すべての部屋を通して流れる彼の音楽こそがこの体験の核です。英バーミンガムで少年時代を過ごし、ロンドンへ電車で行き来していた幼い頃から、彼のキャリアを象徴するイメージやキャラクターの数々まで、ファンはオジーの歩みにインスパイアされたシーンも目にすることになります」と彼女はEWに語っている。

　このアトラクションは、オジー人生を45年分網羅する”生きたホラー映画”と称されており、「このアーティストの型破りで奇抜なソロ・キャリアを巡る、歪んだ旅へとゲストをいざなう」という。今年のイベントは現地時間2026年8月28日から11月1日まで開催され、米フロリダ州オーランド、カリフォルニア州ハリウッドの両パークではそれぞれ異なるアプローチでオジーの物語を描くと伝えられている。

　オジーは2025年7月22日に76歳で死去した。ブラック・サバスの最終公演が7月5日に行われてからわずか数週間後のことだった。このテーマパークのホラー・アトラクションでは彼のソロ・キャリアを彩った楽曲が使用される。その中には『ブリザード・オブ・オズ～血塗られた英雄伝説』（1980年）、『ダイアリー・オブ・ア・マッドマン』（1981年）、『月に吠える』（1983年）、『ノー・モア・ティアーズ』（1991年）、『スクリーム』（2010年）、『オーディナリー・マン』（2020年）が含まれる。ロサンゼルス版では、オジーの“幼少期からオズボーン・アサイラムまで”のタイムトリップにゲストをいざない、フロリダ版では”古代遺跡と不気味なダンジョンを抜け、’Crazy Train’に乗り込んで、ファンに愛されるアルバム群のジャケットにインスパイアされた世界をうねるように進んでいく”という体験になる。

　シャロン・オズボーンはEWに対し、プリンス・オブ・ダークネスの異名でも知られた亡き夫について、「彼は絶対に気に入ったはず。きっと今頃、空の上から微笑んで見ていると思います」と語った。一方で、オジーの私物アーカイブからの展示物は一切なく、それらは“厳重に鍵をかけて安全に保管されている”と明かした。そしてこのコンセプトには“本当に嬉しい”気持ちにさせられ、家族一同とても誇らしく思っており、孫たちも訪れる日を”指折り数えて待っている”と話した。

　シャロンにとっては、すべてが実に納得のいく話だという。オジーがホラー映画とハロウィーンをどれほど愛していたかを考えれば、「彼は絶対に気に入ったはず。腹を抱えて笑っていたと思う」と語り、「彼はよく、うちでは毎日がハロウィーンなんだって冗談を言っていたので、これ以上ぴったりなことはありません」と述べている。
